Surrounded by stunning shorelines, a stay in Truro gives you access to variety of the best beaches on the Cape.

RACE POINT

 

Located on Race Point Road, this iconic National Seashore Beach features soft sands, dunes, and wildlife sightings like whales, dolphins, and seals. Explore the Old Harbor Life Saving Station and the National Park Service Museum nearby.

HEAD OF THE MEADOW


At the end of Head of the Meadow Road, you'll find this stunning ocean beach. The sandbars shift each year, making it ideal for body surfing. Bring a boogie board to ride Truro's waves.

HERRING COVE

A must-visit National Seashore beach with clear waters and breathtaking sunsets. Enjoy a dip in the Atlantic and a long beautiful walk on the beach. Amenities include a new snack bar and a modern bathhouse with showers. Shuttle buses to the beach are available.

TRURO BEACH COTTAGES BEACH


This scenic, easily accessible beach is located near Truro Beach Cottages. Enjoy soft sands, dunes, and iconic weathered fences. Sunbathe, stroll along the dunes, or swim in the ocean. New: Free parking at Prince of Whales (627 Shore Road) across the street. Limited spots, first-come, first-serve.

HIGH HEAD BEACH


Perfect for hikers, High Head Beach is accessible via a sandy path off High Head Road. After a 15-minute walk, you'll reach a stunning beach with breathtaking views and summer seal sightings. A Truro beach sticker is required, and parking is limited.

LONGNOOK BEACH

Accessible via Longnook Road, this picturesque beach requires a short path walk and dune descent. While beautiful, the terrain may not be ideal for those with limited mobility or very young children. A Truro beach sticker is required.

HARBOR BEACH

​

Located near Commercial and Ryder Streets, Harbor Beach is ideal for walks rather than sunbathing. Popular for kite flying, kayaking, and nearby dining. Dogs are allowed from 6 to 9 am during summer.
